Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) stepped up his criticism of President Donald Trump's administration on Monday, asking why adviser Elon Musk was attacking a U.S. ally.
CNN's Pamela Brown read social media post from Musk on X over the weekend in which he threatened to take away his satellite internet Starlink from Ukraine. According to Musk, Ukraine's "entire front line" would collapse if he turned it off.
Poland Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski responded to the post , saying his country paid for Starlink for Ukraine and that if he pulled it, they would search for another option.
"Starlinks for Ukraine are paid for by the Polish Digitization Ministry at the cost of about $50 million per year," Sikorski wrote. "The ethics of threatening the victim of aggression apart, if SpaceX proves to be an unreliable provider we will be forced to look for other suppliers."

Musk responded by calling Sikorski a "small man."
"Be quiet, small man. You pay a tiny fraction of the cost. And there is no substitute for Starlink," he wrote.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk subtweeted on X, "True leadership means respect for partners and allies. Even for the smaller and weaker ones. Never arrogance. Dear friends, think about it."
Bacon told Brown that Republicans in Nebraska don't agree with Trump's handling of Russia and Ukraine.
"Why is a White House official, that's not even elected, why is that person belittling the Polish foreign minister? It's not appropriate. It's not right. We need more discipline in the White House," said Bacon.
"Poland is our friend," he continued. "If you've got heartburn with them, get them on the phone and talk to them. But stop the public bashing of our friends. In a world that's where we have real threats out there with China, Russia, and Iran. So, I didn't like what I saw. I thought we could be better."
Musk also mentioned that he challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to one-on-one "physical combat."
