A Donald Trump ally who has been floated for a position in his potential next administration on Wednesday attacked the ex-president's GOP primary rival Nikki Haley, saying the former Trump admin official is an "anchor baby" who is ineligible to be president.

Laura Loomer, who Donald Trump Jr. said might be considered to be his father's interim press secretary, is one of Trump's latest supporters to stick it to Haley. She joins Tucker Carlson and others in shooting down reports that Trump is considering her for Vice President.

Loomer argued on Christmas eve that Haley was an "anchor baby who is unqualified to be president."

"Our reporting will likely inspire some to call us 'Birthers,' but facts don’t care about feelings and neither does the U.S. Constitution. Nikki Haley was not born from U.S. Citizens and is not a Natural Born Citizen," Loomer wrote. "Nikki has a birthright citizenship. Nikki Haley was born Nimarata Nikki Randhawa on 1/20/1972 in Bamberg, South Carolina to Non-U.S. Citizens, legal Sikh immigrants from Punjab, India. As a result of Haley’s parents not being U.S. Citizens at the time of her birth in the United States, she has a birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment and therefore is not eligible to be President of the United States or Vice President of the United States."

"This is false. The Constitution lists only three qualifications for the Presidency: Be at least 35 years old, be a natural born citizen, and must have lived in the United States for at least 14 years," the community note reads. "Haley meets all of those. ‘Anchor babies’ are not illegal."

Loomer doubled down on her reports into Christmas and beyond, saying on Wednesday that she's not "terrified" of Haley, as a commenter suggested.

"Not terrified. Just not confident in a woman being President of the United States," Loomer posted on social media. "Just being honest. I have zero desire to ever see a female President. Let alone An anchor baby female President. Does my honesty bother you? Not that I really care if it does…"
