President Donald Trump, fresh from meeting the King of Jordan at the White House on Tuesday, took reporters's questions — and was bombarded with requests comment on Hamas.
"You know what a bully is, right?" Trump told the media. “A bully is the weakest person. And they’re bullies. Hamas is bullies.”
It prompted a quick response from Trump's foes.
Conservative Larry Sabato commented on X that Trump made the statement "in the Oval Office without a hint of irony."
Video journalist Sandi Bachom called it a "self-own from Trump."

"Yes...he actually just said this," clarified former Republican and podcast host Jack Hopkins on Blue Sky.
Animations producer Clay Renfore asked, "So is he calling himself weak, a bully or both?"
Republican voter Mike Bates asked, "Does he ever pause for a moment of self-reflection? Doubtful."
Carol S. Castiel remarked, " He was referring to #Hamas, but unbenownst to him, he was defining himself. Trump is the personification of a bully: a weak, insecure predator."
"Oh the hypocrisy. Trump having a press event with the King of Jordan about Gaza. Paraphrasing - in his experience that if you stand up to a bully, they back down," posted communications consultant and non-profit director RJ Sauter, including an eye-rolling emoji.
