Revolutionary blockchain infrastructure project Orbs has stated that it is working on Orbs V4, the next significant version of its network protocol. V4, which is seen as an important upgrade, is intended to improve the reliability and efficiency of Orbs’ Layer 3 technology, readying the network for an anticipated spike in demand and use in 2024.
An more sophisticated network is required when Orbs’ products are integrated into decentralized apps. In order to meet this urgent demand, Orbs V4 will concentrate on a number of critical node upgrades. This will make certain that Orbs stays at the forefront of blockchain technology and is prepared to manage the next wave of L3 adoption.
Nadav Shemesh, CEO of Orbs stated:
“The evolution to Orbs V4 marks a pivotal moment in our journey. This upgrade is not just about scaling up; it’s about setting a new standard in L3 infrastructure, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve in this ever-evolving space.”
Its predecessor, Orbs 3.0, which debuted the venture’s innovative L3 architecture, was released two years prior to V4. In the meanwhile, the introduction of two execution services, Orbs Lambda and Orbs VM, reduced the reliance of projects on centralized backend solutions by enabling developers to extend smart contracts with L3 decentralized backend services run by Orbs Guardians.
Long-awaited improvements and more effective node implementation will be included in the most recent version of the Orbs Network protocol. These will feature enhanced Layer3 scaling, increased uptime, an improved L3 Activity dashboard to monitor protocols supported by Orbs, and a revamped Tetra staking wallet.
The current manual rollout procedure for Guardian nodes will be automated to enable more frequent updates, and Orbs will shift away from AWS-centric deployment to allow a larger variety of hardware and boost decentralization.
Because the Orbs node installer CLI will be changed in V4, there will be less technical obstacles for node operators to deal with. Additionally, the Orbs core orchestrator’s auditability will be strengthened.
To realize its goal for V4 and further establish Orbs as a leader in the Web3 industry, the whole Orbs team is eager to work with Orbs Guardians, important stakeholders, and the larger community.
