24 judges appointed as appellate tribunals by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to handle appeals against rejection or acceptance of nomination papers for upcoming general elections. Punjab has nine tribunals, Sindh has six, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has five, Balochistan and federal capital each have two. The ECP notification states that the tribunals have jurisdiction over National Assembly, Provincial Assembly Constituencies, and seats reserved for women and non-Muslims.
