We will not send troops to Ukraine and the French will not die for it

French Foreign Minister Stephane Segornet confirmed that Paris does not intend to send its forces to Ukraine, that the French will not die for it, and that French support for it will remain within a specific framework that “hinders Russia’s victory.”

He said in an interview on France Inter radio: “The French will not die for Ukraine, and we will not send forces to fight there. The framework of our support for it has been defined, which is to obstruct Russia’s victory without confronting it, and nothing is excluded within this framework, as the President of the Republic said.”

Recently,  French President Emmanuel Macron announced that sending Western forces to Ukraine in the future should not be “ruled out ,” noting that there is no Atlantic consensus on this yet.

He announced that the European Union had agreed to form the "Ninth Coalition to direct strikes in depth" and decided to provide Ukraine with medium- and long-range missiles, and stressed that France would do its utmost to prevent Russia's victory in this war.
