Plane carrying dozens of passengers crashes with fiery explosion seen after deadly smash

A PLANE in Brazil likely carrying dozens of passengers has dropped out of the sky and crashed into the ground in a fiery explosion.

Shocking footage posted to social media showed the turboprop spiralling down to the ground in Sao Paulo state earlier today.

It then hits the ground and explodes in a fireball, sending black smoke into the sky.

The number of deaths are yet to be reported, but 62 people were on board, local media reported.

Brazilian airline Voepass Linhas Aéreas confirmed the crash in a statement to local media G1.

Flight 2283 reportedly took off from Cascavel and was destined for Guarulhos Airport.

“Voepass has taken all measures to support those involved.

“There is still no confirmation of how the accident occurred or the current situation of the people on board.”
