Prague shooting: Dead & injured confirmed after reports of ‘gunfire at uni’ in Czech capital as people seen fleeing

SEVERAL people have been killed and wounded after a shooting in Prague, cops said.

Footage showed panicked crowds fleeing the area with their hands in the air after shots were fired at Charles University in the Czech capital.

Staff and students were seen running from the Faculty of Arts building, surrounded by cops.

It’s understood some students have locked themselves in classrooms.

Police said: “We are currently responding to a reported shooting at a school in Náměstí Jan Palach.

“There are police at the scene, the entire Náměstí Jan Palach and the surrounding area is completely closed.

“Based on initial information, we can confirm that there are dead and injured people at the scene.

“We urge citizens not to stay in the immediate vicinity and not to leave the house.”
