Rep. Buck Hated Biden Impeachment – But Voted To Go Forward

On the eve of the Republican impeachment inquiry vote, Buck was asked by CNN host Erin Burnett to comment on Speaker Mike Johnson’s opposition to a “single-party impeachment” as causing “irreparable” harm to the country. Of course, that was so President Donald Trump impeachment ago.

Buck was an even bigger flip-flopper. Buck told Burnett that Johnson was “absolutely right in 2019.”

“This is not the way to run a Congress. It’s not the way to run a House,” Buck continued. “We should not be engaging in retribution politics, in retribution impeachments.”

In the full interview, Buck said he was “struggling” with his decision but he also acknowledged that there is no actual evidence to warrant impeaching Biden.

BUCK: I also think that the evidence does not warrant impeachment at this point. We are talking about an impeachment inquiry, and that is a more formal way of beginning a process. I still have reservations about that until you have some evidence that links Joe Biden's actions with the money that Hunter Biden received.
