Retired teacher, 70, stabbed to death in car park in front of granddaughter, 6, as cops hunt four ‘people of interest’

A RETIRED teacher was brutally stabbed to death in a shopping centre car park in front of her six-year-old granddaughter.

Vyleen White, 70, was discovered in the underground car park with horrific injuries and later died at the scene.

White’s granddaughter watched the brutal murder unfold as she screamed for help.

She was not injured.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in south-west Brisbane on Saturday evening but were unable to save her.

Cops described it as an “abhorrent” and “cowardly” attack.

They are trying to track down four men including the alleged attacker who was wearing a hoodie and medical mask at the time of the attack.

It has been described in local reports as a carjacking.

White’s daughter told 9News that she was “the most loving, compassionate and caring person you could ever meet”.
