Romanian prosecutors launch criminal probe into far-right populist Calin Georgescu

Romanian prosecutors opened a criminal probe on Wednesday into far-right populist Calin Georgescu, who won the first round of the country’s cancelled presidential elections last December. Georgescu is accused of “incitement to actions against the constitutional order, spreading false information, and false declarations” among other offenses.
