Russia, after being isolated at the United Nations due to its invasion in Ukraine, now observes the United States facing similar treatment over its support for Israel in the conflict with Hamas. Following a US veto in the Security Council on the matter, over three-quarters of the 193-member UN General Assembly on Tuesday supported a call for an urgent humanitarian ceasefire in the ongoing two-month conflict. "With its veto the American side essentially issued a license to kill and now bears full responsibility for each new victim of the conflict in Gaza," Russia's UN Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia told.
