Russia says key Donbass city “liberated”

Russian soldiers have “completely captured” the city of Avdeevka, the Russian Defense Ministry has announced. Some 1,500 Ukrainian troops were killed as they retreated, leaving their weapons and equipment behind, the ministry added.
