SATELLITE pictures show one of Vladimir Putin’s airfields has been turned to rubble in Ukraine’s brave invasion of Kursk.
Lipetsk airbase and the 700 glide bombs it housed were wiped out in a chain explosion from a kamikaze drone blitz two nights ago.

Terrifying sparks of light from the exploding munitions can be seen flying through the night sky as a glowing fire burns behind it.
New pictures show the aftermath of the explosion, with burnt out buildings and craters now present.
The airbase also stored fighter jets and and helicopters, the Kyiv Independent cited a source as saying.
It is unknown how many of those were destroyed in the explosion.
The Lipetsk airfield lies just outside the city of Lipetsk, which has a population of around 500,000.
Destroying the stores of glide bombs is a coup for Ukraine as the weapons have been used by Russia to hit civilian infrastructure.
Regional governor Igor Artamonov described the blasts as a “massive attack” as he declared a state of emergency for the Lipetsk district.
A local from the Syrskoye base said: “The entire airfield is on fire, look – what the f*** is going on.”
Nine people were reportedly killed in the blasts and events have been cancelled in the region.
The success comes as part of Ukraine’s daring invasion of Kursk leading to 76,000 residents evacuated from the war-torn region.
Ukraine has fought inside Russia for five days now, humiliating tyrant Putin and killing Russian soldiers in their homeland.
A second devastating Ukrainian blitz reportedly left up to 400 of Putin’s troops dead in a huge HIMARS missile strike on a truck column.
Footage of that attack shows the missiles pounding the convoy and Russian troops sprinting for their lives near Rylsk, in Kursk.

Dramatic footage shows a giant fireball erupting from the Russian headquarters after it was ruthlessly targeted by the Ukrainian navy.
Several further explosions can be seen in the video as the gas reserves quickly shot up in flames.
Kyiv announced the successful attack on the platform and claimed up to 40 Russian military personnel were also killed.
It comes as Putin is said to be “seething” over the Ukrainian blitz that has seen Russia scrambling to defend Kursk this week, insiders claim.
Ukraine’s devastating surge into Kursk and several other Russian villages has been a “slap in the face” for a moody Putin as his flailing war continues to stutter.
A Kremlin official told Russian outlet Politika.Kozlov Ukraine’s mini invasion has “made Putin nervous” as he struggles to defend against the oncoming army of trucks, tanks and loyal soldiers.
“This is a slap in the face for the president. We have been unable to push the enemy back,” they added.
The humiliated tyrant is even said to be battling against his own men as an army general reportedly accused the Kremlin leadership of dismissing clear intelligence warning of the huge Kyiv counter-invasion.
Dozens of Russian troops have been caught on film throwing down their weapons and surrendering during the offensive.
Videos of handcuffed Russian POWs have been shared online by the Ukrainians as they battled their way into the country.
Zelensky’s forces have also been seen taking down Russian flags off administrative offices.
Putin’s war machine has been rushing to halt any further surprise Ukrainian offensives as they wrestle to gain back territory and prevent Kyiv from gaining a foothold.
Moscow launched a massive “counter-terror operation” in three regions on Saturday as the defence ministry announced a major deployment of their military capabilities over to the frontlines.
A senior politician with close ties to the Kremlin has sought to blame Britain for the attacks.
Adalbi Shkhagoshev, a member of the State Duma Committee, accused the UK of instigating and aiding in the operation.
He told Russian media: “Britain participated in all such sorties. English was heard.”
An embarrassed Putin lashed out on Wednesday as he labelled the Ukrainian revenge strike a “large scale provocation”.
Russian military boss General Valery Gerasimov was forced to face the despot in a meeting and admit how a significant portion of territory in the region had been lost.
A snarling Putin raged: “As you know, the Kyiv regime has undertaken another large-scale provocation.
“It is firing indiscriminately from various types of weapons, including rockets, at civilian buildings, residential houses and ambulances.”
Kyiv launched the campaign – the first invasion of Russia since World War 2 – to go on the offensive and push back against Vlad’s army who invaded in February 2022.
Why does Ukraine launch cross-border strikes on Russia?
By James Halpin, Foreign News Reporter
Ukraine has attacked Russia itself a number of times since Russia invaded their neighbour in February 2022.
The strikes have included both ground assaults with tanks and troops, and also the use of long-range missiles.
In March, Ukraine-supporting Russian rebels from the Freedom of Russia Legion (FRL), Siberian Battalion (SB) and Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) launched a two-pronged assault.
In May last year, the Free Russia Legion attacked the country as they sought to “build a free Russia”.
None of the incursions have so far been able to hold any land, with the invaders being beaten back or retreating.
Ultimately, they seek to stretch Russian forces, strike Russia in unprotected areas, and destroy critical infrastructure like logistics hubs, ammunition depots, or disrupt Russian events.
The strike into Russia could also be an attempt to generate some positive momentum for Ukraine, which has been slowly beaten back by Russia over the summer.
Killing Russian soldiers, destroying equipment, and embarrassing Putin on his home turf would humiliate the Russian tyrant and raise morale for Ukrainian troops and keep allies backing Kyiv to recover territory.
