Sen. Katie Britt Told A Whopper In Her Awful SOTU Response

Katie Britt’s melodramatic “Mom in the kitchen” response to Biden’s fiery State of the Union address was so terrible, even Republicans torched it.

Our Karoli Kuns has already pointed out some of Britt’s laughable deceit. Thanks to journalist Jonathan M. Katz, Britt’s MAGA-friendly immigrant anecdote has been exposed as another not-so-funny load of BS.

Ignoring the fact that she voted against the tough border bill she helped negotiate after Donald Trump told her to nix it, Britt said this in an effort to fearmonger about and blame President Joe Biden for problems at the border:

When I first took office, I did something different. I traveled to the Del Rio sector of Texas, where I spoke to a woman who shared her story with me. She had been sex trafficked by the cartels starting at age 12. She told me not just that she was raped every day, but how many times a day she was raped.

The cartels put her on a mattress in a shoebox of a room, and they sent men through that door, over and over again, for hours and hours on end.
