‘Several shoppers stabbed by knifeman in Sydney mall’ as armed cops evacuate terrified witnesses and lock down area

SEVERAL shoppers have reportedly been stabbed by a knifeman in a busy mall in Sydney today.

Armed cops rushed to the scene and evacuated terrified witnesses from the Westfield shopping centre near Bondi Beach.

Video showed crowds fleeing the busy mall as police officers rushed to the scene about 3.45pm on Saturday afternoon.

Several New South Wales Ambulance vehicles were seen arriving at the door of the Westfield Bondi Junction shopping centre.

Cops said a man was shot after reports of multiple stabbings.
