- Over 2 trillion SHIB recently withdrawn from Binance, sparking discussion around large SHIB transfers and whale activity.
A Shiba Inu official who goes by the name “Lucie” has taken to X/Twitter to motivate the Shiba Inu community to help demonstrate Shibarium’s commitment to users worldwide. She urged members to spread the word about Shibarium, a layer-2 blockchain built to help scale the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
In a series of tweets, Lucie pushed the decentralized grassroots community, known as the “SHIB Army,” to add the Shibarium hashtag to their social posts. She said this would let the broader crypto community know “these are just the first steps of SHIB newborn” and showcase the Army’s willingness to persist as a united front, rather than just individuals.
Getting Shiba Inu into the top 5
According to Lucie, getting Shibarium into the top five blockchain projects would require the collective effort of the estimated 4 million people comprising the Army – not just wallet holders but also exchange users with SHIB holdings. She framed it as an opportunity to push forward “not as individuals but as a community from all around the world.”
In addition to motivating joint promotion of Shibarium itself, Lucie revealed a list of other anticipated products set to launch within the wider Shiba Inu ecosystem. This includes a major update called ShibaSwap 2.0, as well as the in-development SHIB Metaverse project and other interconnected offerings.
Per Lucie’s comments, these launches would all integrate into the expanding Shiba Inu ecosystem, likely bringing more utility for the SHIB token and community engagement opportunities. However, specific details and timelines remain scarce for the time being.
In recent days, some enormous SHIB transactions have also caught attention, hinting at intensifying whale activity. On December 25th, blockchain tracker Whale Alert picked up a withdrawal of over 2.2 trillion SHIB tokens from Binance, valued at $23 million.
This became a trending topic across crypto social channels. As users speculated who might be behind the transaction and how it could impact SHIB’s market outlook, Whale Alert logged two more transfers of 4.2 trillion SHIB each earlier in the week.
