- Shiba Inu lead developer has teased that a major” Partnershib” is coming next week.
- This “partnershib” aims to solidify the protocol’s push toward global adoption.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) community got excited earlier this week when the protocol’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama announced that a major “Partnershib” will be unveiled in the coming week. According to his post on X, the essence of the post from Shytoshi Kusama is to underscore the place of global adoption of Shiba Inu as a crucial tool to boost the ongoing work within the protocol.
Shiba Inu Burns and Shibarium Sentiment
Though known as a pseudonymous developer, Kusama, shared a thread this time to emphasize the impressive state of two of the project’s core achievements, the Burn Rate and Shibarium transaction burst.
Shytoshi Kusama hinted at plans to burn billions of SHIB, with the preparation for this burning already in progress. He noted that a more significant burn effect, Shiba Inu must pursue global adoption. While the developer acknowledged a lot of movement on the SHIB adoption front thus far this year, he believes more work is necessary.
To achieve the goal of going mainstream, he noted that a new crop of decentralized leaders has to emerge with a motivation to challenge the status quo. He called on innovators to come and build “a new era of crypto, blockchain, and Web3.0.”
1/ As Billions of Shib prepare for roasting (yes, it is in progress), and Shibarium transactions are worthy of toasting … I continue to look forward to next week's announcement. Let's talk about it (continued)

Back in 2020, Shiba Inu made its emergence as a memecoin but with a special appeal and leaning to more integrated community participation. As time went by, Shiba Inu grew considerably, becoming the second-largest memecoin with a massive market capitalization of $6,122,496,409 at the time of writing.
Seeing the traction gained and the integration of SHIB as a payment alternative, the need to switch Shiba Inu from its meme status to something more tangible arose, thus birthing the Shibarium Layer-2 scaling solution it launched back in August. As Shytoshi Kusama noted in his current post on X, the global adoption pursuit will be a testament to its plans to help make the world a better place.
In all, Shytoshi Kusama said the partnership that will be unveiled in the coming week will give a finish line to the “ground-breaking experiment known as Shiba Inu,” a statement that is further compounding the excitement in the community.
The Shibarium Transaction Burst
In its bid to register its feet as a disruptive force among Ethereum-based layer-2 networks, Shibarium has seen a mega surge in its total transaction count. For a protocol that crashed at launch because of high traffic, it now has a total of 142,480,484 registered transactions for a block time of 5 seconds and a total block of 2,196,207.
The massive growth of Shibarium which started when its average transaction count per day clocked at least 7 million lends positive optimism to how much Shiba Inu can achieve in its global adoption drive moving forward.
