THIS is the shocking moment a furious female passenger struts naked through airport security in protest over paying a fee to use the toilets.
Vietnamese tourist Nguyen Thuytrang, 34, had just finished her holiday in the Philippines when police allegedly demanded payment for a visa overstay on Saturday (June 8).
Thuytrang was eventually stopped and given clothes, food, and drinks to calm down[/caption]The enraged holidaymaker disputed the fees before storming off into the women’s toilets at the notoriously poorly-run Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila – the archipelagic country’s capital.
Shockingly, she emerged a few minutes later without any clothes and strode calmly through the security gates and body scanner.
Footage shows the tourist walking past security toward the departure immigration counter, with baffled ground staff following, unsure of how to stop her.
APO1 Michael Ronald de Guzman, NAIA Terminal 3 airport police, said: “We asked around and we learned that the woman went to immigration and was allegedly offloaded.
“She was due to fly to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) but her visa had issues.
“She went straight to the public toilet at departures, and she walked out of there without any clothes on. We don’t know why she did that.”
The guards were able to stop the woman, and gave her clothes, food, and drinks to calm down.
She was not reported to have harmed other passengers or caused delays in the queue.
General Manuel Sequitin, Assistant General Manager for Security and Emergency Services, said: “The tourist was about 34 years old.
“She appeared a little irritable because she couldn’t communicate in Tagalog, and she didn’t speak English well.
“She only knew Vietnamese, so we were communicating with her through Google Translate.
“She is already ok. After some time, she was clothed.”
Nguyen was given a medical check before finally being allowed to board a plane to Hanoi, Vietnam, the following morning after settling her overstaying fees.
American luggage app Bounce listed the state-run Ninoy Aquino International Airport as the world’s worst airport for business class travellers in 2022.
It ranked bottom – 38th out of 38 – for busy airports all over the world.
This year, it was ranked “4th worst airport in Asia” for business travellers by UK website Business Financing, citing passenger reviews for international airports from the site Airline Quality.
In September last year, an airport screener was caught on camera allegedly swallowing a wad of stolen cash from a tourist worth $300 (£233).
In 2013, a high-profile extortion racket called “drop bullet” was uncovered, where airport personnel allegedly planted bullets in luggage to extort passengers.
In March, horrified passengers found bed bugs on the benches and rats scurrying across the ceiling in the departure lounge.
