Slain Hamas leader Sinwar 'should have been tried', UN special rapporteur says

In an interview with FRANCE 24, the UN special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories reacted to the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in an Israeli army operation in Gaza last week. Francesca Albanese said that although Sinwar was a military target and someone who had committed and ordered crimes against Israeli civilians, "he should have been tried and brought to justice".
