Slovakia Prime Minister SHOT: Robert Fico injured in suspected assassination attempt as he’s rushed to hospital

SLOVAKIAN Prime Minister Robert Fico has been shot in a suspected assassination attempt.

The politician has been rushed to hospital after the attack as he was leaving a government meeting.

The incident took place in the town of Handlova, some 100 miles northeast of the capital Bratislava, according to the news television station TA3.

The suspect has been detained, reports local media.
