Sui And Karrier One Join Forces To Develop DePIN And DeWi For A More Inclusive And Interconnected Future

Sui, a first-of-its-kind Layer 1 blockchain and smart contract platform, and Karrier One are excited to announce their partnership to integrate advanced telecom services with the dynamic capabilities of Web3 technology.

According to the team, this partnership showcases the potential for decentralized technologies to vastly expand access to the digital world while enhancing connectivity for underserved populations. Notably, at the core of the newly formed collaboration is an investment by Sui into Karrier One aimed at providing funding to expand its Decentralized Physical Infrastructure (DePIN).

This partnership will feature numerous DePIN services powered by the Sui blockchain on Karrier One. In addition, the partnership will also see the launch of a Karrier One Decentralized Wireless (DeWi) network token on the Sui blockchain. Carrier One is set to utilize its new investment funding to augment its offering with several new services, including innovative mobile plans and retail radio development. Karrier One hopes to use its advanced radio technology to tap into unused wireless spectrum.

The partnership has a lot installed for contributors and participants, offering the DeWi tokens for their various activities, including deploying radios and mobile usages that involve Karrier One phone numbers. This partnership aims to expand the Karrier ecosystem with a diverse array of utilities which will be accessed through the fungible tokens and NFTs. As part of the collaboration, universal phone numbers will be sold by Karrier One on the network. NFTs will secure this process through the Karrier Number Systems (KNS).

Notably, following the integration, one of the key features of the KNS will be zkLogin. zkLogin is a fundamental Sui primitive that enables Web3 authentication with familiar Web2 credentials through streamlining user integrations. Note this combination will enable end users to transact in Web3 using their telephone numbers without the need to manage a crypto wallet. Reportedly, this is the first time users will be able to specify an address on the network using a phone number while securely and privately sending and receiving digital assets through text messages.

Through the partnership, the two have united their vision to leverage decentralized technology to better society and its environments.

Commenting on the partnership, Samer Bishay, CEO of Karrier One.

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Sui Foundation. This partnership is a major step towards expanding our influence and reach in telecommunications. Our goal has always been to ensure that connectivity is universally accessible, affordable, and sustainable. Sui’s parallelized transactions, efficient on-chain data storage capabilities, and superior processing capacity align perfectly with our mission.”
