Sunak Commemorates 80th Anniversary of D-Day Landings

Today marks the 80^th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrived today at the British Normandy Memorial in Ver-sur-Mer, alongside King Charles and Keir Starmer. Sunak began his address to world leaders and veterans:

 “80 years ago, the weather broke, and the greatest invasion force in history left the shores of Britain to liberate Europe…can we make certain that the cause you fought for…that great cause of freedom, peace and democracy will never be taken for granted that that cause.
