“Taking control of the future.” Apple seeks to introduce artificial intelligence into its phones

Apple acquired DarwinAI, a Canadian start-up company specialized in artificial intelligence technologies, to introduce these technologies to iPhones, and to keep pace with Samsung, which adopted this technology in its devices.
As part of the acquisition deal, DarwinAI employees moved to Apple's artificial intelligence technology department, headed by Alexander Wong, an artificial intelligence researcher at the University of Waterloo and one of the key figures in the acquired startup.

According to available information, Apple is currently working on developing new iOS systems that will provide artificial intelligence technologies for iPhones, and some features that use these technologies are supposed to appear in macOS 15 systems before the end of this year, as Apple CEO Tim Cook., indicating that in 2024 the company “will seize the future” in the world of artificial intelligence.

Apple did not officially comment on the relationship with DarwinAI, but noted that it “acquires small technology companies from time to time.”
