Dr. Kristina Zaplavnova, an internal medicine specialist, announced that eating too much butter leads to serious complications and fatal diseases, including myocardial infarction and stroke.
The doctor indicated in an interview with news russia that despite its delicious taste, it is not recommended to eat more than 5-10 grams per day, because eating too much of it can lead to fatal consequences, such as stroke, myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, atherosclerosis, and obesity.
According to her, butter contains high calories and a lot of saturated fats, which increase the burden on the digestive system. Therefore, patients who suffer from excess weight, high blood cholesterol levels, as well as liver and gallbladder diseases and pancreatitis are prohibited from eating butter.
She points out that the ban includes all forms of butter, including butter used in sweets, pastries and other foods.
