The earth narrowed for them with what it welcomed. Kitchen and bathroom at the same time in northern Gaza

In light of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian family lives in a one-room house where they resorted to using the bathroom of one of the rooms as a kitchen and a place to relieve themselves, at a time when the head of the family can barely provide for their daily livelihood in light of the spread of famine and diseases.

A displaced Palestinian family lives in the city of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, in one room, after their house was demolished following the Israeli occupation shelling in Beit Lahiya, amid difficult humanitarian conditions.

Fearing the spread of diseases, 39-year-old Palestinian Ammar al-Ghandour is forced to use the bathroom of Yemen Al-Saeed Hospital as a kitchen for his family and a place to relieve himself.

Al-Ghandour and his family bear the burden of the harsh reality, and continue their lives despite the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which began on the seventh of last October and is still ongoing.

The Palestinian head of the family has no way to feed his family, whether by mallow soup, in light of the lack of food and water in the governorates of the northern Gaza Strip and the spread of famine and malnutrition.

The displaced Palestinian and his family of nine are staying in a 3-metre room inside the hospital, amid difficult humanitarian conditions.

Al-Ghandour fears for the lives of his children due to food and water pollution and malnutrition resulting from the siege and war.

He hoped that the war would end as soon as possible and that the efforts to calm the pacification would succeed so that he could return to his house, which had been destroyed by the Israeli occupying forces, to live on its ruins.

Al-Ghandour stressed that diseases are ubiquitous and fear for the lives of their children, as malnutrition and drought have caused the death of many of them.

The Palestinian hopes that aid will bring aid into the northern Gaza Strip and that the war will end, so that life will return to the way it used to be, and people will be able to build a better life away from suffering.

Due to the lack of cleaning materials, places of displacement in the Gaza Strip lack hygiene and personal hygiene, which has led to the spread of many diseases and epidemics.

These diseases varied and included hepatitis, smallpox, fever, diarrhoea and vomiting, causing large numbers of children to be infected.

In January, the Palestinian Environmental Quality Authority revealed that 66 percent of Gaza's population suffers from the spread of contaminated waterborne diseases, including cholera, chronic diarrhoea and intestinal diseases.
