Schulz added in a joint press conference with the heads of the federal states, in response to a question about the extent to which the eavesdropping scandal on high-ranking German officers affected Germany’s relationship with its allies: “I am confident that the trust between Germany and its allies and friends is so strong that what happened there will not affect "This trust."

Schulz also indicated that he was informed during the Cabinet meeting last Wednesday that all partners requested by Berlin regarding this issue responded to him, without revealing further details.

On March 1, RT network editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan published an audio recording and text of conversations between high-ranking officers in the German army, who discussed the possibility of sending “Taurus” missiles to Ukraine and the attack on the Crimean Bridge.

Moscow announced that the content of the conversation between German officers confirms the West's direct involvement in the conflict surrounding Ukraine, and demanded that Berlin provide clarifications.
