Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ attempt to throw his support behind Russell Brand, the British comedian accused of sexually assaulting multiple women, didn’t go according to plan.

Jones Tuesday shared video of Brand’s interview with former Fox News pundit Tucker Carlson with a message likely meant to call the actor a humanitarian — but in reality saying something quite different.

“Russell Brand is pro humidity,” Jones declared. “That’s why he is under attack.”

Soon it was Jones who was under attack by amateur copy editors who delighted at the talking-head’s written-word foible.

"It ain't the heat,” replied Joe Delmonaco, "it's the stupidity."

Jones is the radio host who likes to tell viewers to shoot robots and discuss “good things about Hitler” with Ye, formerly Kanye West. He's also a conspiracy theorist who was hit with $1.5 billion in damages for denying the Sandy Hook school shooting.

In the video interview he shared, Brand called the sexual abuse allegations against him “ridiculous” and described Jones as being “ahead of the curve.”

X users agreed, at least when it came to his new take on Brand.

“I knew there was something off about Russell,” wrote @Rob_Appl2Heaven. “Humidity is terrible,”

“The great dehumidifier,” Auron MacIntyre dubbed either Brand or Jones.

“He needs to combine that with pro-deodorant,” argued @asianj35u5.

“I am also pro humidity,” agreed James Blake. “Humanity is a close second.”
