Jakarta - National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo said that the security and public order (kamtibmas) situation at the voting age for the 2024 presidential election (Pilres) was under control, even though there was a lot of buzz on social media regarding demonstrations.
"Thank God, up to today, with the various dynamics that exist, we continue to be able to manage the crowds on social media and there may also be those who go out in the field related to the results. However, everything is in a measurable, controlled condition," said Sigit on the sidelines. Leadership Meeting (Rapim) activities in Jakarta, Thursday.
Sigit invited the public as well as all parties to accept the results of the presidential election, even though there are different choices, but prioritize unity and integrity so that the security situation and public order can be maintained.
"And of course I hope that this will become a part of our democracy that we can continue to maintain even though there are differences of opinion within it, but of course how to maintain unity and unity," he said.
The former National Police Criminal Investigation Officer emphasized that national unity and unity is the main capital for security stability. Where security stability is the main prerequisite to truly be able to move towards the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045.
Sigit said that the vision towards a Golden Indonesia 2045 which is being implemented by the Indonesian Government is still on track.
"We currently feel that we have all seen the numbers on track, " he said.
The National Police held the 2024 Rapim which was attended by all work units from the National Police Headquarters level to the regional police ranks.
The 2024 National Police Meeting is a follow-up to the TNI-Polri Meeting which was attended by President Joko Widodo at TNI Headquarters, East Jakarta, Wednesday (28/2).
The 2024 National Police Meeting has the theme "A precise National Police is ready to maintain the stability of social security and order that is conducive to the democratic process in order to support the acceleration of inclusive and sustainable economic transformation".
This event was also attended by Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas, Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Pol. Agus Andrianto, Inspector General of Police, Commissioner General of Police. Ahmad Dofiri.
Other officials present, Head of BNPT Komjen Pol. Ricko Amelza, Acting Chairman of the National Police Commissioner Benny Mamoto and his staff.
