Will the people get any relief after the talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) or will the people be burdened with difficult decisions once again?
Independent Urdu has tried to know the opinion of the federal government, political and economic experts regarding these questions to be asked after the formation of the cabinet.
Information Minister Atta Tarar while talking to Independent Urdu said that although this cabinet is dominated by political bigwigs, it also has technocrats who have the skills to deal with economic challenges.
'This is a slightly smaller cabinet compared to the past, which is a mix of experience and youth.'
The Federal Minister of Information said that specific tasks will be given to the concerned persons who have been working in specific fields for a long time. They include Ahsan Iqbal associated with planning while Muhammad Aurangzeb Khan associated with banking sector.
Atta Tarar said that Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has a big name in his field. Having previously served as the President of a private bank, his extensive experience in the field of finance enables him to address the challenges facing the economy.
Regarding the Dutch citizenship of the Finance Minister, Atta Tarar said that he had already renounced the Dutch citizenship, the formalities of which had been completed.
Aurangzeb Khan is a professional person who did not live abroad. His coming from the private sector to the public sector is a welcome move.'
According to Atta Tarar: 'Getting the country out of the economic crisis' is the biggest challenge for the cabinet, for which the Prime Minister has said that it is necessary to expand the tax net and in this context, special attention will be given to the elite.
Economic affairs journalist Mehtab Haider while talking to Independent Urdu said that the team leader is the same but there have been some fundamental changes in the cabinet.
According to Mehtab Haider, the cabinet is facing three major challenges, the first of which is the IMF review which is scheduled to begin on March 14.
The second is a three-year medium-term program, called the Extended Fund Facility, which must be signed after deliberation and understanding. And in the light of these two, the budget for the new financial year has to be prepared.
Mehtab Haider said that the current team is the platform of the economic team only if they work all the time, the situation can improve.
On the other hand, Zaigham Khan, an analyst who has a close eye on the political situation of Pakistan , while talking to Independent Urdu, said that the cabinet during the tenure of PML-N is always in line with expectations. 'Because the friends made early in Nawaz Sharif's career are still part of him whose names are included in the cabinet.'
Zaigham Khan said that while there are leaders from Jam Kamal and allied parties in the cabinet, there are some old faces and people from old families associated with PML-N.
Like Khawaja Asif, Shaza Fatima is also Khawaja and Atta Tarar is the grandson of former President Rafiq Tarar. "In PML-N, family comes first on merit, then Kashmiri community, Lahore and other things are added."
Zaigham said the most important point of this cabinet is the slippage of power from the politicians to the establishment. The establishment has sent its own person for the finance ministry who is also capable. Similarly, the establishment has sent its own servant for the Ministry of Interior.
Zaigham Khan said that the work done by Ishaq Dar in the Pakistan Democratic Movement was not acceptable. "As finance minister he has shown no merit so he has been appointed foreign minister as a consolation prize."
According to Zaigham, on the other hand, there are capable people in the cabinet including Ahsan Iqbal, Azam Nazir Tarar, Mossadegh Malik and Rana Tanveer Hussain.
Overall, this cabinet is not that bad, but one has to admit that the power is leaving its hands.
