The occupation arrests 20 Palestinians in the West Bank and settlers storm the courtyards of Al-Aqsa

Since dawn on Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army has carried out a series of raids on towns and camps in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the martyrdom of a Palestinian and the arrest of 20 others, coinciding with settlers storming Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacking Palestinian property in Nablus.

The Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported that the occupation forces arrested at least 20 Palestinians, including children and one wounded person, from yesterday evening until Tuesday morning.

The Commission indicated that the arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Hebron and Ramallah, while the rest were distributed among the governorates of Tulkarm, Bethlehem, and Nablus, accompanied by the implementation of extensive raids, severe beatings, and threats against the detainees and their families, in addition to the destruction and vandalism of homes.

Earlier today, local sources told the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) that a young Palestinian man was martyred after being shot with live ammunition at Al-Balou' roundabout, north of the city of Al-Bireh in the central occupied West Bank.

The sources indicated that the occupation forces detained the young man for several hours before handing him over to the ambulance crews who transferred him to the Palestine Medical Complex.

Eyewitnesses said that the occupation army stormed the city at dawn today and raided several homes, which led to clashes with dozens of Palestinians, in which the occupation army used live and metal bullets and gas bombs.

At the same time, the occupation forces carried out a series of raids in different areas of the West Bank, which resulted in the arrest of a number of Palestinians.

In Hebron (south), the occupation forces arrested 7 Palestinians from various towns and camps in the governorate, and took them to an unknown location after searching their homes and tampering with their contents.

The occupation forces also stormed the city of Tubas (north), with several military patrols from the direction of the Tayasir military checkpoint east of the city, while clashes erupted on its outskirts.

WAFA reported that the occupation deployed snipers and infantry in several areas of the city, raided several homes in it, and caused significant damage to Palestinian cars in the village of Tayasir.

The occupation also detained two Palestinians to pressure their sons to surrender, and they were later released.

In the city of Nablus, the occupation forces closed the Deir Sharaf and Shavei Shomron checkpoints, claiming that a shooting operation had been carried out on a settler's car. The occupation later reopened them, tightening its military measures.

Settler attacks

In addition to the raids carried out by the occupation forces, WAFA said that a number of settlers spread out on the road between Tulkarm and Nablus, in the vicinity of the Shavei Shomron settlement, and the settlers attacked Palestinian cars with stones, causing damage to some of them.

Settlers also stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in large groups, under heavy security guard, and performed Talmudic prayers there.

Hundreds of occupation police officers were deployed at the gates of the mosque, restrictions were imposed on the entry of worshipers, and the Old City, according to eyewitnesses, was transformed into a military barracks.

Coinciding with its war on Gaza, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, which led to the martyrdom of 575 Palestinians, the injury of about 5,350 people, and the arrest of 9,690 Palestinians, according to official Palestinian sources.

Since October 7, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza, with American support, which has resulted in the death and injury of more than 127,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children.
