The Israeli occupation continued its aggression against Gaza for the 236th day, and today, Wednesday, its artillery and warplanes bombed the western neighborhoods of Rafah and eastern Gaza, and the Nuseirat and Jabalia camps in the central and northern Gaza Strip, which led to the martyrdom of a number of citizens, including children.
The official Palestinian news agency, Wafa, reported that there were martyrs and wounded in an Israeli bombing that targeted a residential apartment for a Shatat family near the government clinic in the middle of the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City. Three citizens were also injured in a similar targeting of the Hamdan family’s home in the new camp in Nuseirat, and they were transferred to Al Awda Hospital. .
The eastern areas of Gaza City witnessed intense gunfire from Israeli military vehicles, while an Israeli warplane raided the western areas of the town of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, wounding a number of citizens.
Israeli warplanes also launched air strikes on various areas in the center and west of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
"Wafa" indicated that civil defense crews recovered 3 martyrs after an Israeli bombing targeted, last night, a house for the Abu Jazar family in the Ma'an area, east of the city of Khan Yunis.
Evacuation of Al-Quds Field Hospital in Rafah
For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced that it had evacuated the Al-Quds Field Hospital, affiliated with the Society, from the Al-Mawasi area in Rafah to Khan Yunis, indicating, in a statement on Wednesday, that the evacuation came after the increase in the size of the Israeli occupation threats and the continued artillery and air bombardment in its vicinity and the evacuation of the area. The surrounding area is completely populated.
Yesterday, Tuesday, the association announced the martyrdom of one of the Al-Quds Field Hospital crews after his home in Al-Bureij camp in the Central Governorate was targeted, bringing the number of martyrs of the association’s crews to 30, of whom 17 were martyred while performing their humanitarian duty since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip.
It is noteworthy that medical sources confirmed, on Tuesday, that all hospitals in Rafah Governorate were out of service except for Tal Al-Sultan Maternity Hospital, in light of the continued and expanding Israeli incursion and the deliberate targeting of many hospitals and primary care centers.
21 Palestinians were martyred, and others were injured, on Tuesday, in a new massacre committed by the occupation army by bombing a camp for the displaced in the Al-Mawasi area in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
This comes two days after Israeli strikes on camps for displaced people in northwest Rafah, killing 45 people, according to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip.
The recent massacres took place in Rafah despite the International Court of Justice issuing, on Friday, new temporary measures demanding that Israel “immediately stop its attack on Rafah,” “maintain the opening of the Rafah crossing to facilitate the entry of aid into Gaza,” and “submit a report to the court within a month on the steps taken.” taken” in this regard.
These new measures came from the court, which is the highest judicial body in the United Nations, in response to a request from South Africa as part of a comprehensive lawsuit filed at the end of December 2023, accusing Tel Aviv of “committing genocide crimes” in Gaza.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 117,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.
