The occupation storms Jenin, besieges its camp, and arrests Palestinians in raids in the West Bank

At dawn today, Thursday, the Israeli occupation army stormed the city of Jenin, north of the occupied West Bank, and besieged its camp amid clashes erupting with dozens of Palestinians, while the occupation forces arrested a number of Palestinians in a campaign of raids in several areas in the West Bank.

Eyewitnesses said that an Israeli force stormed the city of Jenin and began searching Palestinian homes and shops, sweeping streets and property, and arrested at least one citizen, which led to clashes erupting between dozens of Palestinians who threw stones at the occupation army, while the latter used live bullets.

Medical sources reported that at least one citizen was injured during those confrontations and was taken to the hospital for treatment. While military bulldozers began to bulldoze streets in the vicinity of Jenin camp, amid military reinforcements that arrived at the site and began to besiege the camp.

The occupation army carried out a series of raids on Thursday morning, targeting several towns in the occupied West Bank, during which it arrested Palestinians, including an elderly man from the town of Dura, south of Hebron, after he was beaten.

The Israeli occupation forces searched Palestinian homes after storming several cities and towns in the occupied West Bank under the pretext of arresting wanted persons. They destroyed homes and infrastructure and attacked civilians.

In this context, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club announced yesterday, Wednesday, that Israel has arrested 9,170 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, as it continues to escalate systematic arrest campaigns and crimes against prisoners and detainees.

In conjunction with its devastating war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, the Israeli occupation army expanded its operations in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, while settlers intensified their attacks on Palestinians and their property.

The number of Palestinians who were martyred by bullets from the occupation army and settlers in the West Bank since October 7 rose to 543, in addition to about 5,200 wounded, according to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The Israeli war on Gaza left nearly 122,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.

Israel continues its war on Gaza with absolute American support, ignoring a Security Council resolution demanding that it stop it immediately, and orders from the Court of Justice to stop its attack on the city of Rafah, south of Gaza, and take immediate measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and “improve the humanitarian situation” in the Strip.
