The Palestinian ambassador to Algeria, Fayez Abu Aita, said that his family residing in Jabalia camp, north of Gaza, was exterminated as a result of the Israeli bombing, announcing the martyrdom of 36 individuals, most of them children and women, since the start of the aggression against the Gaza Strip.
The ambassador stated in his speech during a symposium organized by the Socialist Forces Front that entire families were exterminated by the Zionist occupation, highlighting that since the beginning of the war his family had been exposed to a liquidation process, as it had been targeted 4 times, the last of which was a raid launched by the occupation on the house of his cousin, the head of the family and the owner of the Abu Aita factory. For cheese and dairy products in the Gaza Strip, which was also destroyed.
Abu Aita spoke at length and with great sadness for his cousin, who he said was one of the most generous people in the Gaza Strip. He employs and supports dozens of families in his factory, which is among the largest in the Gaza Strip, and spends on the poor. He highlighted that he formed himself on his own after his father, who was displaced from his land, helped him. During the first Nakba, he completed his education and then established a factory and was one of the most successful businessmen.
He highlighted that he did not talk about this issue because it is a personal matter or because the one who was martyred was his cousin, but rather because it is the tragedy of every Palestinian today, considering that the bloody scenes broadcast on television from Gaza indicate that we are living a war of genocide against the Palestinians to force them to evacuate their land.
He stated that the Zionists want, through these crimes, to remove evidence of the existence of a Palestinian people in their holy land, a path that began with the Nakba in 1948 and continues today, but the Palestinians have proven that they are always clinging to their land. He stressed that his people are present in every inch of the Palestinian territories as evidence of steadfastness and steadfastness.
Abu Aita classified the wars and crises that are happening in the Arab world as a conspiracy to weaken the nation and seize its resources, which justifies the role of this entity implanted within its body with Western protection. He pointed out that the crimes committed in Palestine aimed to terrorize Arab capitals, citing statements by Israeli officials who vowed to turn Gaza into a second Beirut.
Abu Aita’s biography indicates that he was arrested at the beginning of his youth, at the age of 16, and spent eight years in Israeli prisons (1984-1992). During his period of detention, he was transferred to several detention centers, such as Ashkelon, Nafha, Gaza, Ramla, and Saba’, and devoted his time inside the prison to organizational work. He was one of the leaders of the Fatah movement in Ashkelon prison.
Abu Aita also participated in many strikes, the most important of which was the 17-day hunger strike in Nafha prison. The ambassador says that his family was forcibly displaced in 1948 from the Palestinian village of Najd, located near the border areas of the Gaza Strip.
