Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva confirmed that the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip are “nothing but genocide.”
Da Silva added during an event in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro that "what the Israeli government is committing against the Palestinian people is not a war, but genocide."
He continued: "Because it (Israel) kills women and children, the victims are not soldiers, but women and children who die in hospitals."
He added: "If this is not genocide, then I do not know what genocide is."
He stressed that they defend the idea of establishing a “free and independent” Palestinian state in harmony with Israel, indicating that their policies in this regard are “clear.”
