Netflix and Noah Centineo go hand in hand, like Netflix and chilling, and that’s exactly what Noah’s devoted fan base wants to do. And they’re in luck since he’s back on the small screen as the lead in Season 2 of The Recruit, a new spy thriller.
Here’s everything we know about season 2 of Netflix’s The Recruit, including the cast, story, and how the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes have impacted production.
When Will The Recruit Season 2 Be Released?
Showrunner Alexi Hawley officially announced the Recruit season 2 at Netflix Tudum in January 2023. Production on the second season has progressed since the end of the Hollywood strikes, especially now that story details have been released.

Who Will Appear In Season 2?
Although there isn’t much information on season 2, most of The Recruit’s cast is expected to return. Noah Centineo will once again lead the cast, having established himself as a Netflix talent following his debut performance in the To All the Boys series.
He could be joined by co-stars Aarti Mann (Never Have I Ever), Colton Dunn (Superstore), & Fivel Stewart (Atypical) once again, adding to the show’s humorous edge.
Meanwhile, The Recruit cast members included Daredevil‘s Vondie Curtis-Hall, Kristian Bruun (Orphan Black), Kaylah Zander (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), and Laura Haddock (White Lines) in season 1.
It was revealed in December 2023 that Teo Yoo, star of Past Lives, would be appearing in season 2 of The Recruit.
According to a Netflix announcement, Yoo will play “a highly qualified South Korean NIS agent with a sarcastic sense of humor – willing to go to any length to protect those he cares about” in season 2.

What Can We Expect from Season 2?
Max’s fate is one issue that The Recruit season 2 must tackle immediately. She was shot in the last episode and appeared to be killed. However, the decision not to announce her death could end up in a miracle recovery.
Other plot details for Season 2 have been released, with Owen spending most of the season on a risky assignment in South Korea. Aside from the typical actions, Owen will discover a potential threat within the organization, which could raise the stakes for The Recruit season 2’s explosive storyline.
While not among the agency’s finest agents, the character did go on a journey in season 1 where he picked up some survival instincts that could come in handy another time he’s in the line of fire.
