The trailer for season 2 of “The Rings of Power” gives us a glimpse into some dark moments from Tolkien’s world, like the fall of Khazad-dûm and the making of the Rings.
Fans are buzzing about what’s in store for season 2 of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” after watching the teaser. It’s got everything – destruction, battles, political drama, sneaky villains, and the forging of some seriously powerful rings, all straight out of Tolkien’s books.
The Rings of Power Season 2 | Official Trailer
In the official trailer for season 2, Sauron’s influence is growing, and things are getting pretty tense in Middle-earth. Remember how no one believed Galadriel about the threat of Morgoth’s servant in season 1?
Well, it looks like they’re starting to wise up in the new episodes. The trailer kicks off with Prince Durin IV warning his fellow dwarves about “an ancient and terrifying evil” making a comeback. And yeah, he’s probably talking about Sauron, who was posing as Halbrand in season 1.
The vibe of the teaser for season 2 is definitely darker, with elves gearing up for battle and looking pretty nervous about it.
Galadriel and Elrond, along with other elves, are trekking through the spooky forests of Mirkwood to who knows where. Galadriel, especially, seems on edge – probably because of her history with Sauron. She’s telling her crew to stay sharp because it looks like they’ve got a surprise attack coming.
Fans of Tolkien’s stories will recognize a familiar face – or rather, a familiar tentacle. Yep, that lake-dwelling creature that gave the Fellowship trouble is making a comeback in season 2.
And check this out: In the teaser’s final moments, someone’s trying to burn the Rings in a fiery pit. Looks like the elves in Eregion might have figured out they’ve been played by Annatar/Sauron.
