The Israeli occupation army stormed cities and camps in the West Bank and arrested a number of Palestinians, while armed settlers launched an attack on towns and villages in the West Bank and attacked Palestinian property.
At dawn on Friday, the Israeli occupation forces carried out raids into cities and camps in the northern occupied West Bank, and arrested a number of Palestinians.
Eyewitnesses said that a military force stormed Al-Far'a camp near Tubas in the northern West Bank, amid armed clashes.
According to witnesses, military bulldozers accompanied the Israeli force and participated in destroying the infrastructure, noting that sounds of explosions were heard from time to time.
The occupation forces arrested 4 Palestinians from the city of Tulkarm (north), and raided the town of Ba’a, north of the city. They also raided a chalet located in the Bajoura area between the towns of Deir Al-Ghusoun and Bal’a.
The Palestinian News Agency "Wafa" quoted local sources as saying that more than 12 Israeli military vehicles stormed the city and deployed in several areas, raiding homes and shops, searching them and tampering with their contents.
Sources reported that confrontations broke out between Palestinian youths and the occupation forces in the city of Tulkarm and on the outskirts of Tulkarm camp, but no casualties were reported.
In Jenin, military vehicles stormed the town of Arraba, south of the city. The occupation soldiers raided the home of a Palestinian detainee and arrested his son. They also arrested a released detainee who then raided and searched his home and tampered with its contents.
Military vehicles also stormed the town of Al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem, and toured its neighborhoods.
Settlers attack
These incursions were preceded by an attack carried out by settlers on Thursday evening, on villages and towns in the West Bank.
"Wafa" quoted local sources as saying that settlers attacked the village of Kafr Ni'ma, west of Ramallah, on Thursday evening, and set fire to a car, before withdrawing from the place.
Farid Burqan, head of the Birin Village Council, said that armed settlers wearing occupation army uniforms stormed the village of Birin, southeast of Hebron, raided the village school, took down the Palestinian flag and tore it up.
They also spread out around homes, causing panic among the people, especially women and children.
Coinciding with the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, the army escalated its operations in the West Bank, leaving 425 martyrs and about 4,700 wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, and approximately 7,490 prisoners, according to institutions specialized in prisoner affairs.
Israel is waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip that has left tens of thousands of victims, most of them children and women, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and deterioration of infrastructure and property, according to Palestinian and UN data.
