Former London Minister and Tory mayoral candidate hopeful Paul Scully has told The Standard he won’t be standing at the next election. He says he’s going because “At the moment we’ve lost focus as a party.” Just six days after the media battered him for mentioning “no-go zones”…
Scully is firing shots on his way out:
“The budget clearly is a moment to try and regain that focus, but if we don’t then there’s a real risk that we just repeat the mistakes of 1997 and start chasing an ideology rather than listening to what people actually want.
