Tourist, 49, dies in 82ft plunge from Bali waterfall while trying to take a selfie with his girlfriend on dream holiday

A TOURIST has died after he plummeted 82 feet while trying to take a selfie with his girlfriend.

Giancarlo Zicari, 49, an engineer from Matera, Italy was in Bali with his girlfriend when a railing gave way at a popular waterfall spot.

His girlfriend, Ilaria Biagi, 25, from Turin survived.

A Tabanan police public relations chief said: “The victim’s family refused an autopsy and accepted the tragedy as an accident”
