The US former president stopped at the iconic fast food restaurant during his recent campaign trip
US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump changed his formal suit for an apron and worked the fry station at McDonald’s during his campaign stop in Pennsylvania on Sunday.
The former president then handed customers food through the drive-thru window at one of the restaurants in Feasterville-Trevose and answered questions from reporters.
“These people work hard. They’re great,” Trump said of the fast food industry workers. “I just saw something … a process that’s beautiful.”
He also took the opportunity to mock his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, who said during the campaign that she used to work at McDonald’s when she was in college.
“I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala,” Trump told reporters, repeating his claim that Harris “never worked at McDonald’s.”

— Bad Hombre (@joma_gc) October 20, 2024Trump is working a shift at McDonalds right now, for no reason other than to troll Kamala for lying.
That’s it. 😂

Harris spokesperson Ian Sams dismissed Trump’s words as a “lie.” The Republican candidate “can’t understand what it’s like to have a summer job because he was handed millions on a silver platter, only to blow it,” he told NBC News.
A known fan of fast food, Trump has been photographed enjoying meals from McDonald’s on board the Air Force One. In 2019, he ordered more than 300 burgers to the White House when hosting the college football team, the Clemson Tigers.
