The Republican candidate says he can imagine losing the US presidential election

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says he can’t completely rule out his Democratic rival Kamala Harris emerging as the winner of the US election.

ABC News chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl asked Trump on Sunday if he thought there was any way that he could lose in Tuesday’s vote.

”Yeah, I guess, you know,” the former president replied. “I guess you could lose, can lose. I mean, that happens, right?”

Trump insisted that he had “a pretty substantial lead” over Harris. However, he added: “Yeah, yeah, you could lose. Bad things could happen. You know, things happen, but it’s going to be interesting.” The 78-year-old did not elaborate on what he meant by “bad things.”

During her final campaign rally in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Harris told the crowd that the momentum was on her side. “Make no mistake, we will win. We will win,” she insisted.
