The first Tuesday trailer has an unexpected visitor for Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
It’s rare for a film’s first trailer to be so emotional and powerful. The film reflects Daina Oniunas-Pusić’s directorial debut, adding to its impact. Pusić’s debut film has been picked up by A24, the award-winning studio of Everything Everywhere All at Once, which is astounding in and of itself. Her vision is bold and unique, even in the trailer.
Tuesday | Official Trailer
A recently released Tuesday trailer combines fiction and reality to show the close relationship between a mother and her daughter and an unexpected connection to nature that lightens their load.
The trailer begins with some lighthearted conversation between a mother and her teenage daughter, with the latter taunting her mother for putting herself out there on dating sites.
The caretaker relationships between the two appear to be constantly changing, with the fatally ill girl equally worried about her mother’s well-being as the other way around.
As the daughter’s condition worsens, the mother meticulously tends to her every need, appreciating their time together. As the mother comes to grips with her daughter’s fate, she meets a unique visitor: Death, symbolized by a talking parrot.
The daughter spends time outside one day, gasping in pain, when this big parrot sits beside her. Before she can react, the parrot’s body begins to writhe in pain due to the amount of stimulation around it, and the daughter protects it. And it immediately becomes clear that this is no average parrot. It has a way to change size and talk.
Because it seems that this encounter was not an accident. Death is on its way for the daughter. Mid-freakout, the parrot tells the mother that she must get ready to say farewell to her daughter.
