UEFA reveals the capital of the 2026 Champions League final

The European Football Association (UEFA) announced on Wednesday that the Hungarian capital, Budapest, will host the final match of the Champions League in 2026, at the Puskas Arena.

The UEFA Executive Committee decided during a meeting held in Dublin, the capital of the Republic of Ireland, before the final match of the European League Championship, which will be held later this evening, Wednesday, and brings together the Italian teams Atalanta and German Bayer Leverkusen.

While it decided to suspend the decision to hold the Champions League final in 2027, until next September, until the Italian Football Federation provides information about plans to renovate the “Giuseppe-Meazza” stadium on the outskirts of Milan’s San Siro.

Meanwhile, UEFA announced that the German city of Frankfurt will host the Europa League final in 2027.

This will be the third time a German city has hosted the event, after Hamburg in 2010 and Cologne in 2020.

Meanwhile, the German city of Leipzig will host the Conference League final in 2026.

In addition, UEFA granted the Turkish city of Istanbul the right to host the final of the European League in 2026 and the European Conference League in 2027.
