Ukraine's parliament adopted a new law legalising medical marijuana for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and oncological diseases acquired as a result of war. The law, which will come into effect after six months, aims to expand patient access to necessary treatment. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been a proponent of medical marijuana as a treatment for war-related conditions and called for its legalisation. The law will be regulated by the Ministry of Health and will determine the conditions and usage of cannabis medicines.
