A SHOCKING new photo appears to show the body of slaughtered ex-Ukrainian lawmaker Ilya Kyva laying face-down in the snow with blood splattered on the ground near his head.
The former Ukrainian MP, who defected to Russia, was assassinated by Ukraine’s SBU security service in a James Bond-style hit last week.
Exiled pro-Putin former Ukrainian MP Ilya Kyva received a 14-year jail sentence this year for high treason and publicly calling for the occupation of Ukraine[/caption]It was reported Kyva, 46, was found “covered in blood” with a gunshot wound to the head at the Velich Country Club Hotel in the village of Suponevo in Moscow on Wednesday, December 6.
One picture appeared to show his lifeless body in a grey hooded jumper and a black coat laying on his stomach in the snow.
A second image showed a knife, a gun, and a pair of binoculars attached to a tree in a forest.
In footage from the same scene, a number of items including a backpack and an iPad lay scattered across the ground.
The low and seemingly-manipulated voice of the person filming the video boomed as he showed his viewers the forest he was standing in, through which a gate and people could be seen in the distance.
It was the observation point where Kyva’s killers waited for their target before launching their attack, according to Ukrainian media outlet Censor.Net which has sources in the SBU.
The publication reported: “According to the source, they have been watching Kyva for a long time, studying the details of routes, movements, daily routine and habits.
“At the same time, the traitor ex-deputy was seriously guarded, but this did not prevent the SBU from liquidating him in the Moscow region.”
Kyva reportedly filmed many anti-Ukrainian videos nearby.
Last week, law enforcement sources confirmed to BBC Ukraine that the scandalous politician was “liquidated by using small arms” after his body was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head.
Ukraine’s military intelligence spokesman Andriy Yusov said: “We can confirm that [Ilya] Kyva is the real deal.
“This is the fate that befalls the biggest traitors of Ukraine, as well as the henchmen of the Putin regime.
“He was one of the biggest and most disgusting scum, a traitor and collaborator.
“So here we can only state that justice … has different forms…
“Among others, characters like Kyva … unfortunately, there are still plenty in Russia.”
Kyva was notorious for his wild and unsavoury behaviour, which included him masturbating during a meeting at the Ukrainian parliament in 2019.
He was caught on camera in the act and the video was uploaded online, shocking few who knew or knew of him.
Pictures of him posing with naked women were often posted to his Instagram page, while others of him posing wearing symbols of Muscovite genocidal occupation also circulated online.
As leader of the socialist party in Ukraine’s parliament from 2017 to 2019 before joining pro-Russian party “Platform for Life”, he also publicly destroyed portraits of Ukrainian patriots and laid flowers on the graves of Muscovite occupant generals.
In 2019, Kyva was an unsuccessful candidate for the Ukrainian presidency and turned to Russia, asking Putin for political asylum and a Russian passport.
The politician was stripped of his parliamentary mandate following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and having stated: “[Ukrainian president Volodymyr] Zelensky, his entourage and western curators are most afraid of a Russian pre-emptive strike.
“Only this can put an end to today’s confrontation, not only with the Ukrainian authorities but also with the entire West.”
He was given a 14-year jail sentence in absentia for high treason and calling publicly for the occupation of Ukraine earlier this year.
Kyva’s death came just five hours after he claimed in his final social media post that Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky would be forced to flee to Britain.
He said in the post: “Zelensky’s only option is to flee to England, but even from there he is extradited when it is favourable to the Crown or dies when it is necessary for the Kremlin.”
Ukraine’s Channel 24 said the “liquidation” of Kyva near Moscow was “a special operation of the SBU” [intelligence service].
