UN, France call for investigation into deadly Gaza incident that killed at least 112 people

France on Friday echoed the call of the UN secretary general to investigate a disputed Gaza City incident the previous day. Gaza health authorities said Israeli forces shot dead at least 112 Palestinians as they waited for aid, but Israel blamed the deaths on crowds that surrounded aid trucks, saying victims had been trampled.
