United Aircraft Company obtains a patent for camouflage paint for the “Checkmate” fighter

The Su-75 (Checkmate) light single-engine fighter manufactured by Russia's United Aircraft Corporation will receive its own camouflage paint.

The company has received a patent for the aforementioned camouflage paint.

According to what was stated in the patent certificate, the aircraft would receive a camouflage coating that would complicate visual identification of the aircraft, as well as searching for and tracking it. With the help of color spots of a special shape and the creation of areas of different brightness, the image of the airframe will be blurred and distorted. While no further details were available.

Russian military magazine: One of the models of the “Checkmate” fighter may be unmanned
This drawing scheme aims to distort the image of the airframe by visually replacing it with an image of the aircraft of a different type and smaller size to make visual identification difficult, while at the same time blurring this image against the background of the underlying ground surface and clouds.

It is noteworthy that last July, the Russian Unified Aircraft Corporation obtained a patent for 3 versions of the Su-75 fighter: a single-seat version, a two-seat version, and an unmanned version. According to the company's previously announced plans, experimental models of the fighter will appear in 2024 and 2025, and a test batch of the aircraft will be launched by 2026. Serial industrial production and supply of the fighter will begin in 2026-2027.

The specifications of the fighter that were officially announced include: speed up to Mach 2, operating range up to 3,000 kilometers, and combat payload weight of 7,400 kilograms. The fighter is equipped with a radar with a grid antenna, a circular optical and radio-technical reconnaissance system, an integrated radio-technical jamming system, a visual aiming system, and multi-domain communication devices.

Musk posts footage of a Tesla robot that raises questions about it being real!

A video clip shared by Elon Musk on the X website of Tesla's robot, Optimus, folding a shirt, sparked great interaction among observers.
The video depicts the Optimus robot next to a table while it folds a black shirt on its own without any assistance.

Musk, Tesla's boss, shared the footage with the caption, "Optimus folds a shirt."

Tesla unveiled the humanoid robot for the first time in 2022, as part of Musk's broader goals to automate all physical human work and enhance the company's manufacturing operations.

The company said its ambition for the robot is to create “a general-purpose, autonomous dual-pedal robotic robot capable of performing unsafe, repetitive or tedious tasks.”

According to the billionaire's biography published last year, Musk told his employees that the Optimus robot was key to turning the electric car company into a $10 trillion company.

However, about 30 minutes after sharing the latest video, Musk shared an "important note" below the post that the footage was not quite what it seemed.

“Optimus can't do it autonomously yet, but he will certainly be able to do it completely autonomously and in an arbitrary environment (it won't require a fixed table with a box containing only one shirt),” Musk said.

Some observers pointed to a gloved hand briefly appearing in and out of frame in the video, appearing to mimic the movements of the robot's hands.

The electric car company has not yet provided information about the price or release date of Optimus, but in the past Musk has hinted that the robot may cost less than $20,000.
