US president Joe Biden to meet family members of American hostages held by Hamas

US President Joe Biden will meet with family members of American hostages held by Hamas at the White House. This meeting will mark the first known in-person sit-down between Biden and the families. Biden has previously spoken to some of the hostages' family members and other White House official, have been in contact with them. The meeting comes after some family members of US citizens believed to have been taken hostage by Hamas were not invited to a Hanukkah reception at the White House.
