US says Gaza peace talks are ‘in the end game’ and will reconvene next week

Talks between Israel, the United States, Qatar and Egypt meant to achieve a peace deal between Israel and Hamas will reconvene next week after two days of productive negotiations with the aim of finalizing an agreement to end nearly a year of war and arrange for the return of hostages held by the militant group, a US official has said.
